April 2023 (Adult Club) - The regular badminton season for this year started on Monday 20 February. The cost for casual play is $10 per night.  Our Full Membership Fee for the regular season is currently set at $30 - to be reviewed again at the next AGM.

The club's Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 8 May, during that evening's Club Night.

Covid-19 Update:  The Government's current stance for Covid, means unfettered play on Club-nights and all related Club and Regional competitions.

 

April 2023 (Junior Club) - Unfortunately, due to the recent resignation of our Junior Coordinator, our Junior Badminton sessions have been cancelled for the 2023 season.  If this position changes, we'll provide a further update here.  In the meantime we're advising all current and candidate junior players to consider using the Waikanae Club's junior sessions, which take place on Tuesday evenings at the Waikanae Memorial Hall (Refer to Waikanae contact details in "Useful Links" below).

December 2018 (Global and Association) - New rules for Serving came into force globally from this date, and have subsequently been accepted by Badminton New Zealand.  Rule 9.1.6 the whole shuttle shall be below 1.15 metres from the surface of the court at the instant of being hit by the server’s racket.  Check out the Video.
